This piece of music, also known as “Christmas Symphony” was written by the Italian baroque composer Giuseppe Valentini as the last of his twelve symphonies for strings in three parts Op. 1, that were published in European cities such as Rome and Amsterdam around 1701.
The symphony contains 4 movements which are:
- Largo – Andante e forte
- Allegro
- Largo
- Presto
The piece has been performed and recorded by orchestras and ensembles that include the New York Harp Ensemble and Northwest Chamber Orchestra of Seattle.
