One of the co-founding members of The First Edition, along with Kenny Rogers, with whom he co-wrote the song “Mamma’s Waiting” for their Something’s Burning LP. Rogerslater re-recorded it for his 1978 solo effort Love Or Something Like It. Terry was born into a musical upbringing in Hollywood, California. His mother, Bonnie Lou Williams, sang with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Williams now owns and operates his own recording studio, which specializes in Christian music.
