Thompson, Lee Jay (5th October 1957-Present)

He is a saxophonist and songwriter born in London, England, often nicknamed Kix or El Thommo.

In 1976 he started the band The North London Invaders with Mike Barson and Chris Foreman and they in turn became Morris and the Minors followed by Madness. They were extremely successful during the 1980s and he became famous for being the saxophonist flying over the band in the video of the chart hit “Baggy Trousers”.

The group disbanded in 1986 and several of the members got together and formed The Madness but they split up after one album.  With Chris Foreman he created another group called The Nutty Boys with him on vocals and then in 1992 he reunited with the original members of Madness and he is still performing with them.
