He is a guitarist and singer-songwriter born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, who became a member of the band Blue Rondo a la Turk and following their break up he became a founder member of the group Matt Bianco in 1982.
They saw success in their first album Who’s Side Are You On? and were said to be one of Europe’s top groups by 1984. After band and production changes he split with Mark Fisher to go freelance but still using the name Matt Bianco. They split amicably around 2002 and in 2003 the original line-up reformed and released an album as well as touring. Following the death of Mark Fisher in 2016 he has continued performing under the name Matt Bianco.
He has also written material for his solo album and worked with The New Cool Collective.
