He is a drummer and singer-songwriter born in Canada who was a founding member of the group Edward Bear in 1966. He later received a special award to acknowledge airplay of more than 100,000 times each of “Close Your Eyes”, “Last Song”, and “You, Me and Mexico” by the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada in 1995.
He left the band in 1974 and had a semi-successful solo career as well as concentrating on Scientology. He had a minor hit with “Here I Go Again” and some of his solo recordings were featured on the compilation album The Best of the Bear.
Later he went to King City, Ontario where he ran a horse farm with his wife. He also ran a small studio and a music publishing business that concentrated on re-packaging and managing the copyright of songs by Edward Bear.
