Ellis, Roger (1947-Present)

He is a guitarist and singer-songwriter born in Margate, England, who relocated to Canada with his family in 1957.  When he was a young teenager in the 1960s he taught himself to play the guitar which led him working in the music industry.

Becoming a member of the band Edward Bear he performed with them from 1970 to 1974 performing on their hits such as “Last Song” as well as writing several of their songs.

In between his Edward Bear career and today, he’s worked as a roofer, a factory worker, cab driver, post office clerk and driver for a courier company.  He has played with Jimfre Bacal in Canada and is now a subway musician in Toronto.
