He is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer from Cincinnati who was also known as Eddie Carl and has been active since the 1950s. He was with the group The Emblems and then The Dolphins in 1964, who had a hit with his song “Hey Da Da Dow (Just a Little Thing Called Love)”.
He performed with his band, The Driving Years, for many years and with them was back-up for artists including Billy Joe Royal while also being in the house band at the Guys and Dolls nightclub in Kentucky.
Alongside doing jobs as a truck driver and a warehouse worker, he was a producer for Fraternity Records and as a songwriter has achieved 5 hit records for 2 of Clubs, Lonnie Mack, The Charmaines and Kenny Smith.
