He is a flautist, fortepiano player and teacher born in Vienna, Austria who studied at the Vienna Music Academy where he was a student of the flautist Hans Reznicek, the pianist Richard Hauser and the conductor Hans Swarowsky. After the Academy he went on to enter Vienna University where he took further studies in Music and Theatre.
He became a member of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and over the course of his career he performed as a soloist, a conductor and a chamber musician, participating in broadcasts, recordings and national and international concert tours. He has also performed with other ensembles and orchestras that include Capella Istropolitana, Die Instrumentisten Wien and The Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper and several others.
Some of the many recordings he performed on include him featuring on Suites For Orchestras Vol. 2 with the Chamber Orchestra Soloists of the Vienna Symphony and Mozart: Concerts Nos. 1 & 2/Andante in C with Capella Istropolitana as well as playing on Franz Joseph Haydn: Chamber Music On Original Instruments by Die Instrumentisten Wien, Christmas with Placido Domingo by Placido Domingo and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Vienne Danses 1850 by Ensemble Bella Musica De Vienne, Eine Weiner Promenade by the Johann Strauss Ensemble, Jose Feliciano by the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra Project (VSOP), Johann Sebastian Bach/Telemann – Tanzerische Orchestersuite n 1 by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Mozart: Complete Masonic Music by The Orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper and numerous compilations.
In the field of musical education he has been a professor at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Graz and led several master classes.
