Pluck a random Earth, Wind & Fire album off the shelf, and the odds are good you will hear Jerome Webster playing violin in the background. He appeared on no less than five of their albums, including The Best of Earth, Wind & Fire, Vol. 2, The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire, Faces, Greatest Hits, and I Am. I Am was released in 1979, the same year that Jerome appeared on Frank Sinatra’s Trilogy.
He has also worked on other R&B projects, including Adriana Evans’ self-titled debut, Jennifer Holliday’s On & On, Ronnie Laws’ Every Generation, and Stevie Wonder’s Conversation Peace.
This one-time member of the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra also collaborated with David Benoit and can be heard on this blast from the past: It Only Takes A Minute—A Lifetime With Tavares.
He performs here….
