Watson, Ken

Guitarist, keyboardist, percussionist and composer who released the album Assembly in 1985 which is considered a must-have among fusion and progressive rock fans to this day.

In spite of the popularity of this album, Watson has enjoyed the bulk of his success as a teacher and session musician.

He has recorded with an eclectic variety of artists and groups including Marty Balin, Harry James, Peggy Lee, The Mystic Moods Orchestra, James Taylor, and Frank Zappa.

 A staple on the Hollywood studio circuit, his film credits include AladdinThe Black StallionChe!, Dirty HarryEnter the DragonNewsiesPocahontas, and Stripes.

He attended and has taught at the University of Southern California, although it is a music scholarship at California Polytechnic State University that bears his name.
