Waldman, Jack

He is a keyboard and synthesizer player and programmer who has been heard with many artists during the course of his career including A-Ha, Wally Badarou, Foreigner, Richie Havens, Whitney Houston, Billy Idol, Joe Jackson, Gary Numan, Robert Palmer and Andy Taylor.

He first joined Robert Palmer as part of his band in 1978 in Nassau for the recording of the album Secrets and from then on he would appear with him on several successful albums and singles including “Bad Case of Loving you”, “Looking for Clues”, “Addicted to Love”, “Johnny and Mary”, “Some Guys Have All the Luck”, “You Are in My System” and “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On”.

At the same time as making appearances with Robert Palmer he was also lending his keyboard skills to Billy Idol with whom he saw the chart hit “Rebel Yell” and the band Foreigner.  He also added additional keyboards to the 12″ version of A-Ha’s “The Sun Always Shines on TV”.

Albums he has appeared on include Secrets, Clues, Pride, Maybe It’s Live, Addictions Vols.1 & 2 and Riptide by Robert Palmer, Some People by Belouis Some, Agent Provocateur, Definitive and Jukebox Heroes by Foreigner, Sweet Little Mysteries: The Island Anthology by John Martyn, Secret by Classix Nouveaux, Simple Man by Klaus Nomi, Steppin’ Out by Joe Jackson, Street Fever by Moon Martin, Rebel Yell by Bill Idol and Whitney by Whitney Houston.
