Violinist born in Osaka, Japan who began studying the violin when she was four years old. She had performed as a soloist by the time she was 11 and won the Special Prize of Mainichi Competitions.
She emigrated to the United States in 1965 and appeared several times with the National Symphony. She went on to perform as a member of the Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She has also performed with the Marlboro Festival Orchestra.
During the course of her career she has performed on many recordings which include the songs “Love Will Find A Way” from The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride and “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know”, written by Al Kooper and performed by Kenny Lattimore. She has also performed with many singers and groups that include Paul Anka, David Arnold, Michael Brecker, Vicki Carr, Rosemary Clooney, Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Michael Feinstein, David Foster, Julio Iglesias, Queen Latifah, Peggy Lee, The Manhattan Transfer, Ronnie Milsap, Kenny Rogers, Doc Severinsen, Diana Schuur, Justin Timberlake, Triumvirat and Nancy Wilson.

After retiring from her musical career she became an artist and has spent time studying the oil painting techniques of the old masters .
