Taylor, Hugh (24th July 1952-Present)

He is a singer-songwriter born in Durham, North Carolina, who came from a family where his father was a doctor, his mother a soprano singer and his siblings, Kate, James, Livingston and Alex all sang too with James Taylor being the most successful.

He has been heard as a backing vocalist with artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Carly Simon, James Taylor and Kate Taylor and branched out in the 2000s and released his solo album It’s Up To You.

Other albums he has been heard on include Volcano by Jimmy Buffett, Come Upstairs by Carly Simon, One Man Dog by James Taylor, It’s In Here by Kate Taylor, Standing in the Fire by Bill Wharton & The Ingredients and the soundtrack of Coast to Coast.

In business he is the successful owner of the Outermost Inn at Gay Head Cliffs, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
