She is a violinist born in Eastchester, New York, who started studying the violin when she was five years old. She went on to become a student at Juilliard School’s prepatory division and in 1998 she studied English and American Literature at Harvard, graduating with her Bachelor’s degree in 1998. Two years later she earned her Master of Music at Juilliard School.
In 2000 she became a Second Violin with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and after staying there for 4 years she became a First Violin at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
During her career with the CSO she has performed as a chamber musician in the Chicago Symphony chamber series, and played at Northwestern University’s Winter Chamber Music Festival among others.
In 2011 she went back to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, initially as Second Violin and in 2015 moved to the First Violin section. Two years later, in 2017, she was appointed Assistant Concertmaster.
She has appeared in many chamber music series and music festivals nationally and internationally.
In the recording studio she has performed on many albums which include John Adams: The Gospel According to the Other Mary by the Los Angelese Philharmonic, A Night Out with Friends by Richard Marx, Far Places by Push Kings, Make Believe by Weezer and the soundtracks to Minions, Cars 3, It: Chapter Two, Alita Battle Angel and the LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.
She is married to the violinist Nathan Cole who is First Associate Concertmaster with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and they have three children.
