She is a violist and violinist who studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and took her undergraduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she was awarded the Robert Vernon Prize in Viola.
In 2002 she performed as a member of the Linden Quartet and with the ensemble was a grand prize winner of the Coleman Chamber Music Competition.
In 2003 she became a member of the Minnesota Orchestra and performed with them until the 2014-15 season when she joined the Montreal Symphony Orchestra for a year. She returned to the Minnesota Orchestra in 2015.
As a chamber musician she plays regularly in the orchestra’s chamber music series and gave performances of Prokofiev’s First String Quartet and Mendelssohn’s Second Viola Quintet in the 2016-17 season. She has also performed at Steamboat Strings, Colorado at the 2015 Strings Music Festival and at the 2023 Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society Chamber Music Festival.
Other orchestras she her performed with include the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and in Seoul, Korea with the World Symphony Orchestra.
Recordings she has performed on include Mika Et L’Orchestre Symphonique De Montreal and Timothy Frantzich – The Best of the World of Flutes.
