Struble, Edgar

He is a singer-songwriter, arranger, music director, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist often credited as Edgar Strubble who has fronted many R&B bands.

Between 1976 and 1991 he wrote many songs for the country music singer Kenny Rogers as well as playing on his albums and going on his international tours as a vocalist and musician as well as his arranger and music director.  This led to him also doing a lot of work with the singer Dolly Parton who toured with Kenny Rogers.

In 1991 he decided to settle himself and his family in Nashville while at the same time regularly going back and forth to other cities when he was required.

Before the decade was out he relocated to Los Angeles where he was kept constantly busy with his work on various TV programs and movies.

His work as an arranger, composer and/or producer has been used by many other artists including Ray Charles, Vince Gill, Bobby Hatfield, Al Hirt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Rascal Flatts, Leon Russell, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Dottie West among many others and much of his work has been used for various television specials.  He has also been the Music Director of the Prime Time Country TV show, the producer of the movie Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Conspiracy and has worked in collaboration with Bazzel Baz in writing the patriotic song “March On By”.

The recordings he has been credited on are numerous including most of the albums by Kenny Rogers and his own albums No Rough Edges and Piano Country.

He has appeared in concert in the Faroe Islands with other Nashville songwriters/musicians where their songs were performed by local artists.  He also continues to perform regularly back in the United States with his concert Edgar Struble & Friends.

His work as a composer and music director continues with his long running work in those positions for the Academy of Country Music Awards and American Music Awards.
