Steele, Carole

She is a percussionist and bongo player also sometimes credited as “Carol Steele” who has been an extremely busy session musician on-stage and in the recording studio since the late 1950s/early 1960s.

Working with many of the top names in the music business she has performed with singers, groups and musicians such as Aztec Camera. Joan Baez, Tom Browne, Boy George, Irene Cara, Richie Havens, Howard Jones, Chaka Khan, Melba Moore, Laura Nyro, Odetta, Richie Sambora, Lee Sklar, Rick Springfield and Brian Wilson to name just a few.

The numerous albums she has appeared on include Circle of One by Oleta Adams, Freak of Nature by Anastacia, Love/Stray by Aztec Camera, Far Side of the World by Jimmy Buffett, Journeyman by Eric Clapton, Us by Peter Gabriel, Life is Good in My Neighborhood by Robert Lamm, Night to Remember by Cyndi Lauper, Supernatural by Santana, Something Real by Phoebe Snow, Seeds of Love by Tears for Fears, Sweetest Days by Vanessa Williams, Finer Things by Steve Winwood and the soundtrack of Panther among many others.
