She is a trumpeter and teacher who has gained degrees from The University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, University of Louisville and Indiana University.
Throughout her professional career she has performed as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician and has appeared with numerous orchestras and ensembles. These include the Monarch Brass Quintet, Ars Femina, the Canterbury Brass, the Louisville Orchestra, the Cincinatti Symphony and Ballet Orchestras and the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. As a soloist she has given recitals in venues throughout Europe and the United States, premiered fifteen compositions and appeared with orchestras such as the Owensboro Symphony, the Cincinnati Conservatory Philharmonic, Louisville Bach Society and University of Louisville Symphony Orchestra.
Having made several recordings she can be heard on albums such as Encounters by The Canterbury Brass, The Orpheus Oracle from the Music from Six Continents series, Brass Theater III: Blending Brass and Broadway by Star of Indiana and Holiday Brass featuring Susan Slaughter.
In the field of musical education she is a faculty member at Campbellsville University in Kentucky and also gives private tuition and other positions she holds are Secretary of the International Women’s Brass Conference and membership of the International Trumpet Guild.
