Sigismonti, Henry (1934-1989)

French horn player who took his formal training with Vincent DeRosa and became Principal Horn of the L.A. Philharmonic.

In 1973, he and other members of the L.A. Philharmonic appeared on screen in a documentary entitled The Bolero that won an Oscar for Best Short Subject in 1974.

His film work did not end there: He performed on the soundtracks of The Color Purple, The Dead Pool, Electra Glide in Blue, Harry and the Hendersons, The Ice Pirates, Logan’s Run, Love at First Bite, The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing, North Dallas Forty, Outland, Predator, Red Dawn, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock; Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Sudden Impact, Time After Time, and Twilight Zone: The Movie.
