Teacher and trumpeter who won the Premier de Trompette at the Converatoires de la Ville de Paris competition and attended Harvard College and Boston University, where he received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
He is the co-chair of the Wind, Brass & Percussion Department at the Community Music Center of Boston and was a co-founder of The Harvard Brass.
Other groups with which he has worked include Alea III, Con Fuego, the Hingham Symphony Orchestra, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Opera Boston, the Orchestra of Indian Hill, and the Riverside Brass Ensemble.
In the field of musical education, he has taught music history and theory at Harvard University and has been in charge of the brass methods and pedagogy programs at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts.
