She is a clarinettist born in Calgary, Canada who earned her Bachelor of Music degree in clarinet performance at the University of Toronto and went on to take further studies to earn her Master’s degree at the University of Southern California.
After graduation she became Principal Clarinet the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in 2007 and then became Principal Clarinet of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in 2009.
As a chamber musician she has participated at many events which include the Aspen Music Festival, the Aurora Chamber Music Festival, the Music Academy of the West, and the Spoleto Festival among others. She has also performed with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra Wind Quintet and the Garneau String Quartet.
As a soloist she has given solo performances with orchestras that include the Alberta Baroque Ensemble, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
In the field of musical education she is a clarinet teacher and faculty member at the University of Alberta.
