Scanlon, Patricia

She is a soprano and teacher born in St. Louis, Missouri, who studied for her degree in Vocal Music Education at the city’s University of Missouri.

A professional singer, she has performed with many local choirs and orchestras that include the Choir of the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica, the Fox Theatre orchestra in St. Louis, the St, Louis Muny Orchestra, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Chorus and University City Orchestra.

As a soloist she was a performer on the worldwide broadcasts with the Choir of the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica celebrating the visit by Pope John Paul II.  In musical theatre she has appeared in numerous local productions including The Boys from Syracuse, Brigadoon, Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man, No No Nanette, The Sound of Music, Sunday in the Park with George and Three Feet Under.

In her work as a solo artist she is working on the CDs In the Light of Love and Christmas Gifts for All and also performs at many local social functions.

In the realms of musical education she has been an Adjunct Instructor since 2005 at the Fine and Performing Arts Department of St. Louis University.
