Sarkissjan, Ashot (26th February 1977-Present)

He is a violinist born in Yerevan, Armenia who studied at the Tchaikovsky Music College, at the Musikhochschule Lubeck and Hochschule fur Musik Cologne.

He has been made laureate at the Lublin and Mainz international competitions and a co-founder of the Ensemble Neue Musik Lubeck.

He has been a member of the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris, working with composers including Brian Ferneyhough and Pierre Boulez, the Ensemble Modern Frankfurt, and in 2005 he replaced Graeme Jennings in the Arditti Quartet.

As a soloist he has performed with orchestras such as the Stavanger Symfoniorkester, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and with the soprano Laura Aikin they performed in the oratorio Le Sacrifice by Kimmo Hakola.  As a teacher he has given masterclasses in Cologne and Paris.
