He is a trumpeter and brass instrumentalist who has been a soloist and member of the Ludwig Guttler Brass Ensemble and was asolo trumpeter for Staatskapelle Dresden from 1970 until 2004. He founded the jazz band Semper Hand Band as well as Camerata Musica Dresden.
