He is a harpsichordist, organist and teacher born in Germany who started learning the piano in Baden-Baden to enable him to begin studying church music at Karlsruhe University of Music. He took further studies at the Ancient Music department of the Music Academy in Basel after he was awarded two scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service.
He started his career as a musician while studying by giving performances on stage, in competitions and as a theatre coach.
A performer of basso continuo and as a soloist he worked with the ensemble Musica Antiqua Koln for six years. He has also been a member of Ensemble Seicento and Das Neue Orchester.
Concentrating on the organ, harpsichord and piano, he has participated in several national and international music festivals and he was a prize winner in Lucerne at the International Organ Competition Johann Sebastian Bach. From 1998 he concentrated his career as a soloist on the harpsichord.
Recordings he has appeared on as a solo artist are Johann George Pisendel – Violin Sonatas, Heinrigh Ignaz Biber – Violin Sonatas from the Kremsier Archive, Francesco Geminiani – Violin Sonatas Op 5, Partimenti: Improvisations on Basso Continuo, and Johann Sebastian Bach- A Due Per Flauto E Cembalo along with Concerti “Per L’Orchestra Di Dresda”, Johann David Heinichen – Lamentationes/Passionsmusik, Hasse – Salve Regina, Biber – Missa Salisburgensis, Telemann – String Concertoes and Musica Baltica by Musica Antiqua Koln, collections by various artists and the soundtrack of the 2018 TV movie The King Is Dancing.
In the field of musical education has been a teacher at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Hanns Eislter Academy of Music in Berlin, the Hochschule fur Musik Rheinland-Pfalz and at the Mozarteum in Salzurg.
