He is a baritone/bass singer, choral director, conductor and teacher born in Des Moines, Iowa.
He studied at Southwest Missouri State University and moved into teaching in Odessa, Missouri, for the next four years. He later studied at Lindenwood University and Truman State University. In 1996 he relocated to Creve Coeur, Missouri and became the choral director at Parkway North High School, being honoured with the award of parkway North Teacher of the Year in 2000.
His musical performances have seen him singing with the Chorale Francis Poulenc and the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Ladue, among others, as well as acting as director for the Congregation Shaare Emeth choir. He has also been a member of the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus where he was an Assistant Conductor and singer and appeared on their recordings such as Songs of the Soul and A Spanish Christmas where he sang a solo on Missa O Magnum Mysterium.
He is also a busy clinician and adjudicator in Missouri, having directed several honors choirs.
