Ranson, David

He is a bass player and songwriter who has been a member of Lil’ Band O’ Gold and John Hiatt’s band, The Goners, working often in the field of Cajun music.

Artists he has worked with during the course of his career are many and he has featured on numerous albums such as Far Side of the World by Jimmy Buffett, Last Train to Memphis by Bobby Charles, Slow Turning by John Hiatt, Outward Bound by Sonny Landreth, Live and in the Studio by Warren Storm, Lil’ Band O’ Gold, Goin’ Home: Tribute to Fats Domino, Sail Away: The Songs of Randy Newman and the soundtrack to The Country Bears.

As a songwriter his credits include “Bunkie Boogie” and “Congo Square”.
