He is a violinist who studied at Louisiana State University and the University of Minnesota.
He went on to performed with the Saint Louis Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony and as a guest principal second violin with Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
From 2002 he and his wife, the violist Karri Ryan, founded the Minneapolis Quartet and performed with them until 2007, winning a McKnight Artist Fellowship in 2006.
As an orchestral musician he became associate principal second violin with the Minnesota Orchestra in 2005 and two years later moved on to become a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 2007.
Performing as a chamber musician he has performed at the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society in Madison, Wisconsin and in 2006 played at the Mainly Mozart Summer Festival in San Diego, California. He has also been a member of The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble.
Recordings he has performed on include A Day To Remember: Instrumental Music for Your Wedding Day by The O’ The O’Neill Brothers and Solo Settings by Charles Lazarus.
