Platt, Ronnie (24 February 1962 – Present)

Rock vocalist who joined the power-pop group Shooting Star in 2007, replacing Kevin Chalfant.

Ronnie, who also goes by “Ron”, has been affiliated with several bands, including ARRA and Face Value, a Genesis/Phil Collins tribute band.  He also contributed backing vocals to former Night Ranger drummer/vocalist Kelly Keagy’s solo debut album, Time Passes.

In the mid-’90s, he teamed up with Josh Becker and Von Eric to record “Aftershock”, “On the Run” and “When I Saw You Cry”.

No limo for this well-traveled front-man:  Chances are good you might see this Chicago native riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle to Shooting Star gigs, though.

Here he is on lead vocals with the band Face Value performing Genesis’ “Abacab”…
