He is a cellist who started performing on the cello when he was 15 years old and began out by playing trios with his parents and then went on to study in Victoria, British Columbia, France and Cleveland, Ohio.
He has performed with ensembles and orchestras all over the world including Canada, France, South Africa, Spain, the United States and Venezuela and in 1991 became a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
As a chamber musician he has performed with the ESO in a chamber music performance at the Art Gallery of Alberta. He has also performed as a soloist with the ESO and in 2012 performed Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, Op.37 by Erich Korngold.
He and his family live on and run a farm and used to supply fresh food through a CSA to Alberta, but had to stop because of time constraints.
In the field of musical education he gives private tuition and during the COVID lockdown managed to teach his students socially distanced in one of his fields.
