Pidduck, Chester

He is a lyric tenor born in Ontario, Canada, who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri.  He studied at Hendrix College, Arkansas and in Spain at the University of Salamanca before attending Indiana University to gain his Master of Music degree.  He later studied for several months in Paris, France, and has been the recipient of various scholarships and awards including the Young Artist Award two years running from the Bach Society of St. Louis.

A professional singer, he has given solo performances in operas and concerts at venues throughout America with the High Plains Youth Symphony, Nashville Opera, Opera Colorado, Opera in the Ozarks, Sarasota Opera, St. Louis Cathedral Choir, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and Union Avenue Opera Theatre.

In 2008 he became a member of the San Francisco Opera and was recently a feature in the magazine Classical Singer.  Continuing his work with the San Francisco Opera, he appears with them in the 2009 production of Carmina Burana by Carl Orff.
