Percussionist who attended Cheltham’s School of Music, the Eastman School of Music and the Royal College of Music.
Groups with whom he has worked include Adiemus, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Caixa, the London Symphony Orchestra and Momentum.
In 2009, he appeared at LSO St. Luke’s Academy in a recital that comprised “B-Movie” by Karl Jenkins, “Fullness of Time” and “Tempest Lights” by Tim Garland, “Libertango” by Eric Sammut, “Michi” by Keiko Abe”, “Shapeshifter” by David Maric and “Texas Hoedown” by David Friedman.
Momentum performed Tim Garland’s “Concerto for Percussion” at Barbican Hall on 5th May 2011.
On 19th February 2013, Neil was a guest soloist of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff for a concert that featured “Enigma Variations” by Sir Edward Elgar, “Movements for a Clarinet Concerto” by Benjamin Britten, “Reflected Images” by Colin Matthews and “The Twittering Machine” by Charlie Piper.

In the field of music education, he has served on the faculty of the Royal Academy of Music as the head of their percussion and timpani department. He was worked in various capacities with the Manhattan School of Music, the National Musicians Symphony Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra, the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. Neil has also been active with the LSO Academy and LSO Discovery program.
