He is a Mexican arranger and guitarist who is known for his performances of Latin American music.
Albums he has featured on include his own Songs of Juan Gabriel with Hermanos Santiago, Fandango by Herb Alpert, Brindo a la Vida Al Boler by Vicki Carr, Mi Verdad by Alejandro Fernandez, Solo Boleros by Nana Mouskouri, Live at Carnegie Hall by Chavela Vargas, The Best of Mexican Divas and Mi Gloria, Eres Tu by Los Tri-O, which won a 2001 Billboard Latin Music Award.
