Osborne, Ben

He is a trombonist and teacher who grew up in Lubbock, Texas.  He started out by learning the piano when he was five years old but when he was twelve he decided he wanted to concentrate on the trombone.  He has taken further studies at the Texas Technological University, Dallas Theological Seminary, the Southern Methodist University and he was a Mission Year member in a Chicago ministry.

He has performed with many artists and ensembles such as Amy Grant, Josh Groban, the Meyerson Symphony Orchestra, the Metropolitan Winds, Willie Nelson, the Prestonwood Choir & Orchestra and Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass.

His performances in the recording studio have led to him being featured on Praise & Worship, Classic Hymns and Americana by Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass.

In musical education he is often seen giving masterclasses in various schools, is a music staff member at the Camp-of-the-Woods in Speculator New York, and is on the faculty of Prestonwood School of Fine Arts at Plano, Texas.
