She is a violinist born in Fukuoka, Japan who received the Young Concert Artist Award in Osaka. She went to Switzerland when she was 9 years old to study with Tibor Varga at the Ecole Superieure de Musique de Sion and received a special award at the International Music Festival Tibor Varga. She also played as concertmaster and second violin of the the Festival Orchestra in Sion for several years.
Moving again, she went to Germany to take further studies at the Musikhochschule Lubeck and then finally to the Northern Illinois University in the United States where she graduated in 2006 and was a premier winner of its Concerto Competition.
Working as a recitalist, soloist and orchestra member, from the time she was a student, she has performed with many orchestras and ensembles that include Ensemble Hijiri-Kai, Filarmonica della Scala in Milan, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Tonhalle Orchestra and Zurich Opera House Orchestra.
She joined the Avanti Ensemble in 2006/7 and became a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 2008. While with the CSO she has performed and been broadcast in the CSO soloist recital series and in the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series. In 2011 she performed at the Japan Relief Concert.
Recordings she has performed on include Urban Music of the Edo Period by Ensemble Hijiri-Kai.
In the field of musical education she has been a member of the faculties of Radford University (Virginia) and the Renaissance Music Academy.
