He is a violist born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who studied at Temple University Music Preparatory Division and the Curtis Institute of Music.
In 2000 he was Principal Viola with the Curtis Symphony and from 2000 to 2003 was Principal Viola with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. He had also been a member of the Haddonfield Symphony and the New York String Seminar Chamber Orchestra and since 2001 has been a member of the Koryo String Quartet.
As a soloist he has performed with the Temple University Symphony, the New Jersey Symphony and the Kennett Square Symphony and with Curtis Chamber Ensemble to gave the world premiere of James Ra’s Concertino. He has also participated in many national and international music festivals.
He was a member of the Boston Symphony for the 2005-06 season and joined The Philadelphia Orchestra permanently in 2007 after previously having performed with the orchestra and the New York Philharmonic as a substitute player. He has also performed as a member of The Network Ensemble and The Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble.
