Cellist who has performed with Cuartetango, the Embers, the New York Pops, and the Young People’s Chorus of New York City.
From 19th October 1995 through 28th January 1996, he was in the orchestra pit for a Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!.
He performed similar duties for a production of State Fair that ran from 27th March 1996 through 30th June 1996.
From 9th November 1997 through 2nd January 2000, he played cello for the original musical comedy, The Scarlet Pimpernel.
He was part of the orchestra that accompanied Simavi Uluc at Merkin Concert Hall on 28th March 1999.
From 9th December 2002 through 25th January 2003, he offered up music with some bite for Dance of the Vampires.
As if that weren’t skeery enough, he proved to be a wiz on cello for a long run of Wicked, which opened on 30th October 2003, and just kept going.
From 23rd November 2008 through 4th January 2009, he got into the spirit with a holiday production of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. He re-gifted his cello acumen for the same show when it was reprised from 22nd November 2009 through 3rd January 2010.
Other Broadway credits include Once Upon a Mattress, starring Sarah Jessica Parker.
On 11th July 2012, Leonardo Suarez Paz’s Cuartetango Music & Dance Company performed in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center.
