Miller, Dan (1954-Present)

He is an organist, pianist, multi-musician, composer and arranger who studied at the Winthrop University, the American Conservatory of Music, the Florida Atlantic University and the Moody Bible Institute.

He began playing the piano when he was seven years old, by the time he was fifteen he was playing the organ in his local church and he has since been the organist for churches that include Cavalry Church Presbyterian Church in North Carolina, Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and currently holds the position at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, Oregon.

His varied career has seen him appearing regularly with the Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass, as the director and music arranger of a handbell choir, feature with orchestras such as the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra and has even appeared with The Muppets.

No stranger to the recording studio he has appeared on at least 20 CDs which include his own The Cavalry Organ Dedication, Amazing Love, The Power and the Glory, the Many Moods of Rodgers, Celebration and Serenity, Treasures of Faith and O Holy Night also with Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass on Joyful, Americana, and Tim Zimmerman & The King’s Brass – Christmas and Home for the Holidays with the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra.  Taking a role in musical education he runs many workshops for organ students and in the world of instrument technology he is responsible for much of the development and specifications for the Rodgers organ in his role as Product Design Manager for Rodgers Instruments.
