Malignaggi, Joseph

Violinist who worked extensively in the recording studio with a huge array of artists in many different genres of music from at least the early 1960s.

During his career he worked with artists and groups such as Jan Akkerman, Ray Bryant, Change, Ron Frangipane & His Orchestra, Aretha Franklin, Rupert Holmes, Lena Horne, Janis Ian, Eddie Kendricks, Meco, Hugo Montenegro, The Mysterious Flying Orchestra, Odyssey, Gene Orloff, JacoPastorius, Esther Phillips, Perez Prado, Johnnie Ray, Don Sebesky and Stanley Turrentine.

The albums he appeared on are far too many to mention in full, but a selection of them include Idlewild South by the Allman Brothers Band, Grand New World – Greatest Hits by George Benson, Swing Time by Harry Connick Jr., Billie Holliday Revisited by Billie Holliday, King of Blues: 1989 by B.B.
