He was a guitarist who performed from the 1970s with artists such as Anita Baker, James Brown, Herbie Hancock and The Isley Brothers among others. He was a member of The Gap Band from 1977 to 1989.
Albums he features on include The Songstress by Anita Baker, Float into the Future by The Floaters, The Gap Band, Tracks of My Life by The Isley Brothers and Perfect Lover by Rose Royce.
After experiencing health problems on the road he passed away in September 2016.
