Crayge Lindesay has worn about every hat you can in the studio, arranging, composing, engineering, performing, producing, and seemingly everything in between. He owns his own record label, Exposed Entertainment, and recording studio, HBBL Studio.
In the ’90s, he spent much of his time as the chief engineer at Pajama Studios in Oakland, California, and The Sound Factory in Olate, Kansas.
Artists and groups he has worked with include Bloodstone, The Doobie Brothers, Patti LaBelle, The Rainmakers, Shooting Star, and Christopher Williams.
He did some major multi-tasking on Norman Brown’s After the Storm, playing bass, drums, guitar, and keyboards, in addition to arranging and programming. His and Telisa Stinson’s “I’m Leavin'” helped put Lisa Stansfield on top of the Billboard Club/Dance charts in 1998.
In 2004, he released KC Exposed, Volume I, an ambitious, 19-track affair involving some of the Kansas City area’s most talented musicians and vocalists.
Crayge also serves on the Advisory Committee of the Kansas City Youth Jazz Band.
