He was a trombonist, trumpeter and saxophonist who appeared as a performer on The Beatles Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
From 1971-1972 he would perform with the Roy Young Band and aside from playing on their LP releases, he was also with them when they backed Chuck Berry in concert for his recording of the No. 1 “My Ding-a-Ling”.
In the latter half of the 1970s he became a member of Fat Larry’s Band, who formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1977. They disbanded in 1987 after the untimely death of their leader Fat Larry James.
Other artists he has appeared with are the group Hunters and Collectors and Tucky Buzzard.
He passed away in Enfield, London.
