Lambert, Lisa-Beth

She is a violinist who began studying the violin when she was three years old and took her further studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Curtis School of Music.

After venturing out on her professional career as an orchestral musician she performed with the National Symphony of Washington from 1995 for 6 seasons and went on to become a member of The Philadelphia Orchestra in 2001 who she stayed with for fourteen seasons.  She later became a member with the National Symphony Orchestra.

As a chamber musician she has played at several music festivals, at the White House and on the recording of Marlboro Music Festival’s 50th Anniversary.  She has also performed with ensembles that include the Brandenburg Ensemble, the Chamber Music Society of Philadelphia,  the Philadelphia Chamber Ensemble and the Smithsonian Chamber Players among others and as a soloist with the New World Chamber Orchestra of Mexico.

She has spent several seasons presenting the Mozart sonata cyvle at various venues on America’s east coast with the pianist Lambert Okis.

Recordings she has appeared on include Peter Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 6/Pathetique/Dunka with The Philadelphia Orchestra.

In the field of musical education she is the creator and director of MasterWorks Festival’s Intensive study Program at Winona Lake, Indiana, is on the faculties of Credo Oberlin and MasterWorks Festival and has given private tuition.
