Kroop, Eugenie Seid

Violinist who has been a member of the Brooklyn Philharmonic and the New York Pops.

On 15th January 2005, the Brooklyn Philharmonic performed a concert entitled “Brooklyn Goes Hollywood” at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.  The program comprised “Chamber Symphony No. 2, Op. 38” and “Theme and Variations, Op. 43b” by Arnold Schoenberg, the “Love Theme” from Altered States by John Corigliano, the “Prelude” from North by Northwest and “Psycho—A Narrative for String Orchestra” by Bernard Herrmann, a suite from The Heiress by Aaron Copland, and the New York premiere of the “Watch Your Step Ballet” from Shall We Dance by George Gershwin.
