He is a classically trained baritone, singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Greeley, Colorado who moved to Vermont with his family when he was young. He started singing at 6 years old and sang in the church choir. He then went on to study at St. Olaf College in Minnesota followed by earning a degree in Music Production and Engineering at the Berklee College of Music.
After graduating he went back to Vermont and three years later went to St. Paul, Minnesota where he became a member of the Dale Warland Singers. With the singers he performed on several recordings including getting a Grammy nomination in 2003. He also sang with Dare to Breathe, the Gregorian Singers and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra chorus and various church and funeral services but in 2003 made the decision to move south to Austin, Texas.
After his move south he began working as a singer-songwriter and recorded his debut album Climbing the Vine which contains 10 original tracks. He then went on to release Echoes and Twirls which he recorded live in the studio with The Carper Family and was awarded a place on the Austin Ambassador Program Project ATX6 which allowed him the chance to perform in France, at NXNE in Toronto and Halifax Pop Explosion with other singer-songwriters from Austin.
In 2015 he premiered his co-written single “Everything’s Christmas” at his holiday show and at the same time presented his video for the track “By the Time” from Echoes and Twirls.
He has been an actor, composer and accompanist on the musical sketch revue Love Me Tinder which was seen in 2015 at several festivals including winning Best of Week at the FronteraFest. The show continued during 2016.
He performs with his band at various venues and on Tuesdays has a residency at the Driskill Hotel Bar as a solo crooner. He has also been a volunteer to play gigs at the Austin Group for the Elderly (AGE) day care facility.
Recordings other than his own which he has performed on include Hodie! (Choral Works of Benjamin Britten & Daniel Pinkham), Rachmaninoff Vespers, Walden Pond and Christmas with the Dale Warland Singers by the Dale Warland Singers, Bright Morning Stars by Dare to Breathe, The Murder Diaries by Never Is A Promise and Flight by Proud Peasant.
