Konings, Pierre

Brass musician and conductor who played trombone on the following albums: eerlijk zeggen, by Jan Ten Hoopen; November Music 1999; and, van tied tut tied. In 2001, he played the euphonium on the Pauline Post and Nora Mulder recording, uit De Nieuwe Kollektie nieuw en gecomponeerd.

Groups with whom he has worked include Ensemble TUD, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Nieuw Ensemble, and the Vivaio Ensemble.

On 21^st December 2002, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor rang in the holidays with Roel van Oosten’s “Quatre Noels Anciens”, ArvoPart’s “Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten”, Alexandre Tansman’s oratorio, Isaie, le Prophete, and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Fantasia on Christmas Carols”.

The Vivaio Ensemble teamed up with Kamerkoor Capricciata for a concert of various capella songs, sandwiched in between Giovanni Gabrieli’s “Sonata pian’e forte” and Franz Joseph Haydn’s Missa Sancti Hieronymi, on 10^th November 2007, at the Wilhelminakerk in Bussum, The Netherlands.
