Knight, Graham (8th December 1946-Present)

He is a bass player and singer born John Graham Knight in Glasgow, Scotland who performed with the group The Vampires before becoming a member of the Scottish band Dean Ford and the Gaylords in 1965.

The band had played in Germany for much of 1965 and then, after gaining popularity as a top group in Scotland, they went to London where they changed their name to The Marmalade and became the resident band at the Marquee Club.

After releasing several singles the band saw success with the No 1 hit Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da which was the start of 11 chart singles and the international chart topper “Reflections of My Life”.

In the early 1970s the band went through several line-up changes but he remained with them until they were recording the album Our House is Rocking.  The next year he teamed up with the former drummer of the band Alan Whitehead and formed Vintage Marmalade. They were joined by other former members and after the original band had split they re-named this band Marmalade.

The band signed to Target Records and had a final Top 10 hit with “Falling Apart at the Seams”.  He remained with the band as the only remaining original member until he retired in 2010.
