Kleiss, Leonie

Violinist who has worked with the Amati Ensemble, the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Pierre d’Or Trio, and the Rotterdam Philharmonic.

The Pierre d’Or Trio is rounded out by Pieter Gouderjaan on horn and Huib Christiaanse on piano. Their repertoire includes the works of Brahms, Duvernoy, Koechlin, and Mozart. On 4^thMarch 2001, they performed music for the multimedia presentation, Sybilla’s Droom, with Dushica and Tatiana Radier, and images by Sybilla Krosch.

Leonie teamed up with Caroline Wagner in July 2009 to provide music for a Moroccan gem exhibition at Galerie Kralingen in Rotterdam.

The Rotterdam Philharmonic performed Richard Strauss’s “Horn Concerto No. 2” and Gustav Mahler’s “Symphony No. 9 in D” on 24^th September 2009 at Concertgebouw Brugge.

Leonie appears on the Amati Ensemble’s 2009 compact disc, Dvorak: Serenade Op. 44; Haydn: Sinfonia Concertante – String Arrangements.

In 2014/5 she performed at Het Nationale Ballet’s Back to Bach festival and in 2015 she appeared in a trio in The Night is Laughing Softly concert by Tourdion.
