Kim, Mi Hyon

She is a violinist active in Toronto, Canada, who has been a member of the Amadeus Ensemble and the Chamber Players of Toronto.  She has been a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since the late 1990s and appeared on several of their recordings.

In 1996, Mi Hyon performed in the studio with Rebecca Timmons on her self-titled album and the following year was back in the studio again with the group Blue Angel.  Credits appear on albums such as Tremolo by Blue Angel, Adeste Fidelis by Louis and Gino Quilico, Judy Loman, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Children’s Chorus, Along the Road to Bethlehem and My Heart Soars by the Toronto Children’s Chorus.

Her husband, Joaquin Valdapenas, is the Principal Clarinet with the Toronto Symphony.
