She was a soprano singer born in Wilimington, Delaware, before moving to Greenville, South Carolina, when she was young. She was involved with the Child Evangelism Fellowship and went on several missons while young and later studied at Covenant College, Georgia.
After getting married to Matt Kickasola, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri, for him to complete his doctorate and they both became members of the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus. With them she has appeared regularly in concert and featured on several of their recordings.
She and her husband, Matt, moved to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, with their family in 2012 when he became an Associate Professor of Music at Geneva College.
